The Gabe Gottes mine was exploited in the 16th, 18th and 19th centuries for argentiferous copper and from 1935 to 1940 for native arsenic, making it the last active mine in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines.
A place steeped in history, ideal for learning about geology and mineralogy.
Today, in a network set up by the "Archéomine" association, you can discover these different mining phases during an easy underground walk, accompanied by an ASEPAM guide.
